Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan Short Form
The Yang style Tai Chi short form taught at Center Island Aikido of Long Island consists of 60 movements and 37 postures. It is a mind-body exercise that involves slow, gentle, and flowing movements. These martial meditative movements flow seamlessly together, offering numerous health benefits such as improved balance, increased strength, better flexibility, relaxation, stress reduction, anxiety relief, and an overall sense of well-being.
Walk-ins welcome. Wear loose-fitting clothing, such as sweatpants, and a non-restrictive shirt like a t-shirt or a loose-fitting long-sleeve shirt..
